ECS Group’s subsidiary, Aero Cargo International France, GSSA partner to CORSAIR for 40 years, is collaborating with the airline and pharma logistics specialist, Healthc’Air, to implement a high-quality, end-to-end pharma management solution. The 20-week implementation project will result in a robust and audit-ready quality management system that will enhance Corsair’s standing and increase its share in pharmaceutical cargo.
Aero Cargo International, CORSAIR and Healthc’Air have been developing a comprehensive end-to-end pharma shipment management solution. The project, which began with an in-depth lane risk assessment from the point of view of quoting, booking, and GHA processes, to identify and reduce or remove deviations, aims to create a pharma service that achieves the highest quality standards.
“Pharmaceutical cargo is a high-yield, strategic growth driver for CORSAIR,” says Guillaume Tourneret, Managing Director France of Aero Cargo International. “It already exceeds 4% of annual tonnage and more than doubles on exports to the French Overseas network, with rates 15–20% above general cargo. Our focus is to convert that potential into revenue by maximizing load factors, tightening operational control, and securing a stronger position in pharma tenders. Through our collaboration with CORSAIR and Healthc’Air, we are delivering an audit-ready, end-to-end solution that strengthens competitiveness and positions the airline as a trusted partner for high-value pharmaceutical flows.”
Pharmaceutical cargo is increasingly becoming a focus product not just for CORSAIR, but for the industry in general. In times of crisis, it switches quickly from sea to air and therefore requires partners that can swiftly adapt accordingly by offering capacities or introducing new niche destinations.
It is essential for CORSAIR as an airline to remain both flexible and fully compliant with the stringent standards of pharmaceutical logistics. This initiative enables the airline to expand into high-value segments such as sensitive healthcare shipments, including oncology treatments or human organs. By implementing dedicated processes and strict operational standards, CORSAIR is strengthening its position as a reliable partner and enhancing its competitiveness in future pharma tenders.
There are three main pillars in the 20-week roll-out plan:
“We kicked-off the implementation with the pharma training of the commercial team, followed by the discussions and meetings to better understand day-to-day processes and how communication with CORSAIR is structured,” Yulia Celetaria, Global Director Pharma of Healthc’Air, explains: “Once the project has been fully implemented, CORSAIR will have a robust system in place, that strengthens its competitiveness in the long-term. Being pharma-audit ready at any given moment increases customers’ trust. With pharma you first gain trust, prove that you as a carrier have processes under control and steadily increase volumes.”
“Collaboration creates the strongest solutions and, on behalf of ECS Group, I would like to thank the CORSAIR, Healthc'Air and Aero Cargo teams, for their key contributions to this success,” Jean Ceccaldi, Chief Executive Officer of ECS Group, adds.
