Fresh Vintage Farms expands retail presence to nearly 150 stores across California and Nevada

Jun 27, 2025

Fresh Vintage Farms, a family-owned producer of premium cold-pressed almond and walnut oils, has significantly expanded its retail footprint across California and Nevada. Fresh Vintage Farms products can be found in 143 stores throughout Northern California and Nevada, including Save Mart, Lucky, and Woodland’s Markets, and has also entered the Southern California market, landing on shelves in Los Angeles, Orange County, the Inland Empire, and San Diego.

Clean-label almond and walnut oils now available from the Bay Area to San Diego, with new products on the way

This expansion is a milestone for the small Central Valley-based company, founded by husband-and-wife team Tommy and Tara Tickenoff. What began as a local operation is now a growing regional brand, bringing clean, California-grown oils to more households than ever.

“We’ve had so many people in SoCal asking when our oils would finally be available closer to home,” said co-founder Tommy Tickenoff. “We’re proud to say the wait is over. Our cold-pressed almond and walnut oils are now just a short drive away.”

Fresh Vintage Farms makes oil the right way: using 100% California-grown almonds and walnuts—many harvested from their own orchards—the oils are cold-pressed in small batches without additives or fillers. The result is a clean, nutrient-rich product packed with natural flavor and integrity.

Almond oil has a high smoke point and a mild, nutty flavor, making it great for cooking, roasting, and sautéing. Walnut oil has a medium smoke point and a bold, earthy taste that is ideal for dressings, baking, and finishing dishes. Both oils are packed with vitamin E, omega-3s, and antioxidants, offering a healthier option for shoppers who want to avoid highly processed seed oils.

“We’re excited to be on shelves in stores that local families already trust,” Tommy said. “People are looking for better oils—something they can feel good about using it daily in the kitchen. We’re here to meet that need.”

Fresh Vintage Farms is also committed to sustainability. Instead of sourcing cosmetically perfect nuts, the company uses underutilized almonds and walnuts, just as nutritious, but often overlooked by commercial buyers. This farm-to-bottle approach reduces food waste and supports local agriculture. Oils are packaged in recyclable glass bottles with cork tops, reflecting the same care in the ingredients.

“We’re not interested in being trendy,” said Tara Tickenoff. “We’re focused on making real food that families can feel good about.”

Fresh Vintage Farms is expanding its reach in Southern California through community partnerships, media outreach, and local events. The team works to build lasting relationships with chefs, wellness advocates, and conscious consumers who care about transparent ingredients and sustainable sourcing.

“We’re not just launching into stores—we’re joining communities,” Tommy added. “From local chefs to wellness advocates, we’re here to collaborate and support people who care about where their food comes from.”

Looking ahead, Fresh Vintage Farms plans to launch a refined almond oil for neutral cooking and a clean-label almond oil–based mayo for customers avoiding traditional seed oils like canola and soybean.

“Our goal is simple,” said Tara. “Better oils. Made honestly. Easy for people to use and enjoy.”

Fresh Vintage Farms sets itself apart with its no-nonsense approach, rooted in sustainability, transparency, and real family values, as demand grows for clean-label pantry staples.
