Fraley and Schilling announces leadership transition

Apr 03, 2026

Fraley and Schilling announced that Chris Seals will retire at the end of April after more than 11 years of leadership with the company. During his tenure, Seals played a key role in guiding the organization through significant growth while strengthening its culture, partnerships, and core values. He also helped lead the successful transition from a family-owned business to an employee-owned company through an ESOP.

“Chris has been a steady and trusted leader for Fraley and Schilling,” the company shared. “His impact will be felt for years to come.” As he enters retirement, Seals looks forward to spending more time with his wife, Susan, their three children, and six grandchildren.

The company also announced the appointment of Bob Grimes as President. Grimes, who most recently served as Senior Vice President, brings more than 30 years of experience across the trucking industry, including roles as a company driver, owner-operator, technician, and leader in operations and sales.

Prior to joining Fraley and Schilling in 2016 as Terminal Manager in Muscle Shoals, Alabama, Grimes held a variety of leadership roles at Total Transportation. Since joining F&S, he has progressed through key leadership positions, most recently overseeing multiple areas of the business as Senior Vice President. He is a decorated U.S. Army veteran and Bronze Star recipient and holds a degree in Business Administration from Tusculum University and an MBA from East Tennessee State University.

As President, Grimes will focus on building upon the company’s strong foundation while positioning Fraley and Schilling for continued growth. His priorities include leveraging technology, enhancing operational efficiency, and maintaining a strong commitment to employees and customers.

“This transition reflects both the strength of our leadership team and the opportunity ahead,” the company said. “We are confident in Bob’s ability to lead Fraley and Schilling into its next chapter.”
