Canadian law firm Fasken has been appointed to the UK government’s post-Brexit international trade law panel in a consortium with London-based law firm Pinsent Masons and US law firm BakerHostetler.
The Trade Law Panel was established to advise the UK government on international trade issues after leaving the European Union at the end of January 2020.
After a competitive process, Fasken and its consortium partners were among a select group of international law firms appointed to the panel to address trade law disputes, for a term of four years.
The Fasken team is led by Peter Mantas, global head of procurement and senior litigation counsel in international dispute matters. Mr. Mantas is based in the firm’s offices in Toronto, Ottawa, and London.
Mr. Mantas said: “We look forward to joining with our outstanding consortium colleagues in defending the UK Government’s interests in future trade disputes.”
