Evergreen’s Ever Max arrives at the Port of NY & NJ

Aug 22, 2023

The Port of New York and New Jersey welcomed the Evergreen Ever Max to Maher Terminals at the Elizabeth– Port Authority Marine Terminal on Sunday, Aug. 13. The arrival of Ever Max makes it the largest Evergreen vessel to call on the U.S. East Coast and the Port of New York and New Jersey.

The 15,432-TEU container ship was constructed in 2023 and sails under the flag of Singapore. It travels along the Asia U.S.-East Coast (AUE) line of service, which initiates in Xiamen before passing through the Panama Canal en route to the U.S. East Coast. Several other vessels on the AUE route make calls at the Port of New York and New Jersey weekly.

The arrival of Ever Max at Maher Terminals was commemorated with a ceremony and the presentation of a plaque to Captain H.M. Yang. The Ever Max is part of Evergreen Line’s six shipping companies, which operate a modern fleet of container ships with a capacity of more than 1.67 million TEUs.
