DB Schenker offers stability package against uncertainty in ocean cargo

Sep 04, 2020

Offer intended for customers of competitor Damco, short-term agreements covered, stable conditions for stable supply chains

Leading global logistics service provider DB Schenker today approved a Stability Package for customers of its competitor Damco. Intended for affected companies, the package includes an offer to take over short-term service agreements of up to two months’ contract period for the same conditions as agreed with Damco. With the Stability Package, DB Schenker responds to market unrest following an announcement of A.P. Moeller-Maersk to discontinue the Damco brand and its FCL NVOCC business.

Thorsten Meincke, Member of the Management Board for Air and Ocean Freight at DB Schenker: "Stable conditions promise stable supply chains: that is what DB Schenker stands for. The last thing shippers need at present is further uncertainty. We are making an offer to all those who are now looking for long-term security and reliability. Our customer advisors are available immediately".

To seamlessly take on these obligations, DB Schenker can access globally secured ocean freight capacities at short notice. For companies who are in longer running agreements with Damco, DB Schenker pledges to provide prioritized quotes on short notice. Damco customers willing to make use of the offering can reach out to their local DB Schenker experts or via [email protected]
