Schlenger 2024 NYNJFF&BA Captain of Industry recipient

The NY/NJ Foreign Freight Forwarders & Brokers Association, Inc. is pleased to honor David Schlenger with its “Captain of Industry” Award for 2024. This award is bestowed on an individual who has steadily and generously given their knowledge, time and commitment to the Association.

With decades of high-ranking leadership positions in all aspects of transportation with freight forwarders and customs brokerage, David has helped the industry and NYNJFF&BA membership navigate the challenges of the rapidly changing global supply chain and regulatory environment.

David has long served the NY NJ Freight Forwarders & Brokers Association in several roles, Vice President of Imports, President, Board and the founder and chair of the very popular Dinner Cruise. David is currently Area Sales Director Eastern Region Freight Forwarding Americas with GEODIS, previously with OIA Global as Vice President Sales Americas and has been in the customs brokerage and foreign freight forwarding business since 1990. He is an alumnus of University of Michigan and obtained his Customs Broker’s license in 1994.
