CHAMP Cargosystems, the integrated IT solutions and distribution services provider for the air cargo transport chain, today announces the appointment of Chris McDermott as CEO, effective 1 October 2020.
Chris McDermott, currently Vice President Passenger Solution Lines at SITA, is appointed CEO of CHAMP Cargosystems, a joint venture between SITA (51%) and Cargolux (49%). CHAMP has 500 employees, revenues of approximately $55 million, and is a leading provider of IT solutions to the global air logistics transport industry including airlines, forwarders, and ground handlers.

She adds,“ On behalf of the Board of CHAMP, I would also like to congratulate and share my gratitude for Arnaud Lambert, CEO of CHAMP Cargosystems for his 16 years of passionate and dedicated service to CHAMP, with the last six as CEO.”
Chris replaces Arnaud Lambert, current CEO of CHAMP Cargosystems, who will be leaving as of 30 September 2020. Arnaud departs after 16 years of dedicated service with plans to challenge himself again in other industries, helping companies in their digital transformations.
