Carrier Transicold and Net Feasa introduce IoTPASS dry box telematics solution available through BlueEdge partner channel

Nov 06, 2024

Carrier Transicold, in collaboration with IoT and wireless technology provider Net Feasa, has launched IoTPASS, a cutting-edge dry container telematics solution that extends asset monitoring capabilities beyond refrigerated units. Fully integrated with the Lynx Fleet platform, IoTPASS allows seamless tracking of both dry and refrigerated containers within one ecosystem and expands Carrier Transicold’s digital offerings enabling more connected intermodal supply chains. Carrier Transicold is part of Carrier Global Corporation, global leader in intelligent climate and energy solutions.

Dry container telematics is a large and growing segment and an important adjacency to the refrigerated container telematics space, in which Lynx Fleet has demonstrated success.

"With IoTPASS, we are transforming the way our customers manage their assets throughout the supply chain,” said Tan Bor Yow, Senior Channel Manager, BluEdge, Global Container Refrigeration, Carrier Transicold. "It delivers the same innovation and reliability we’re known for in the refrigerated container space, now optimized for dry containers."

Key features of IoTPASS include:

  • 3-in-1 integrated device: A compact unit featuring integrated tracking (Track & Trace), an integrated door sensor for enhanced security and heat sensors to detect in-container fires while providing real-time monitoring of cargo safety.
  • Uninterrupted connectivity: Device operating across cellular networks, with LoRa and satellite as fallback options, ensuring continuous data flow and alert notifications even in areas with limited cellular coverage.
  • Fast and simple installation: Patent-pending snap-spin-secure mechanism allowing quick installation using only one rivet, reducing set-up time and costs.
  • 10+ year battery life: Extended battery life, enhanced by solar-harvesting capabilities, ensuring long-term functionality with minimal maintenance.

IoTPASS is designed for high-value cargo, offering flexible, per-trip pricing and one-way logistics tracking, providing shippers with the option to invest in it for added peace of mind. This makes IoTPASS an ideal solution for businesses that need to stay agile and responsive to industry cycles.

Scheduled for global release through Carrier’s established BluEdge Partners telematics reseller network in Q4 2024, IoTPASS will enhance supply chain visibility and improve operational efficiency through innovative technology.
