OOCL received three awards from the Hong Kong Marine Department and the HKSOA

Orient Overseas Container Line Ltd. (OOCL) has announced that the Company received the following three awards at the “Joint Luncheon cum Award Presentation Ceremony 2026" jointly organized by the Hong Kong Marine Department and the Hong Kong Shipowners Association (HKSOA) on June 12, 2026:

  • Award for the Shipowner Placing the Most Gross Tonnage (GT) on the Hong Kong Shipping Register (HKSR) in 2025
  • Award for Outstanding Performance in Port State Control (PSC) for the Year 2025
  • Award for Company Recruiting the Most Hong Kong Sea-going Cadets in 2025

The event was organized to express appreciation for the support of shipowners and shipping companies and to promote the services of the HKSR and HKSOA. It was one of the major annual events in the maritime industry in Hong Kong. Approximately 240 representatives from the maritime sector and distinguished guests attended the event this year.

The “Award for the Shipowner Placing the Most Gross Tonnage (GT) on the Hong Kong Shipping Register (HKSR) in 2025" reflects OOCL's continued support for the Hong Kong Flag. The “Award for Outstanding Performance in Port State Control (PSC) in 2025" affirms the Company's strong expertise in ship management and its consistent commitment to high-quality operational standards. The “Award for Company Recruiting the Most Hong Kong Sea-going Cadets in 2025" recognizes OOCL's ongoing efforts in nurturing young maritime talent in Hong Kong.
