May 19, 2020

The international transport and info-logistics provider has set up a dedicated department for high tech logistics at its headquarters near Vienna Airport. The services range from time-definite delivery with a dedicated vehicle fleet up to on-site installation, customer trainings and specialized warehousing solutions.

With the new business unit dedicated to high tech logistics, cargo-partner provides tailor-made solutions for a range of industries, including banking and retail, vending, health tech, office equipment, digital signage and kiosk, telecommunications, IT and data.

Stefan Krauter, CEO of cargo-partner, explains: “With our new high tech logistics solutions, we offer specialized services for technical devices and equipment in both transport and warehousing. Our customers are increasingly looking for end-to-end solutions, and we react to this need by providing comprehensive, industry-specific services. We have set up a dedicated vehicle fleet and adapted our warehouses to the requirements of high tech logistics, so that we are now ready to start serving our customers in Austria with tailor-made solutions for all their high tech logistics needs. After the successful rollout in Austria, we plan to expand our high tech solutions to other European countries as well in the coming years.”

Technical distribution with a dedicated vehicle fleet

cargo-partner makes use of its network of import and export hubs to provide countrywide 24- to 72-hour delivery services with standard two-man crews. In addition to time-definite, white glove delivery of devices and equipment, the specialized services include on-site installation, customer trainings as well as dismantling and return of used devices. The company’s new high tech vehicle fleet for line-haul and last-mile services consists of box trucks with extensive sector-specific equipment such as electric stair climbers, telescopic cranes and load distribution plates.

High tech warehousing and technical service centers

At its specialized warehouses and technical service centers, cargo-partner offers a comprehensive range of services for the requirements of high tech devices and equipment. The heated and dust-free warehouses contain separate zones for storage and handling as well as dedicated areas for service technicians. Services range from order picking on pallet and item level to kitting, packing and various other value added services. Security is ensured by camera surveillance, motion sensors and visitor control as well as alarm- and fire-secured internal and external areas.

cargo-partner has been providing tailor-made logistics solutions for customers from various industries around the world for several years. In recent years, the logistics provider’s primary focus has been on automotive and spare parts, high tech and electronics products, pharmaceuticals and healthcare as well as foodstuffs and perishables. In addition to air, sea, road and rail transport and warehousing, cargo-partner’s end-to-end solutions include last-mile delivery, customs clearance, transport insurance as well as comprehensive supply chain management and sophisticated IT solutions.
