Breeze has partnered with Realm Realtime to integrate cargo insurance directly into the shipment creation process.

The integration enables every shipment created within the Realm Realtime platform, called Oppi, to automatically generate an insurance quotation from Breeze which Freight forwarders can choose to accept and issue a policy with a single click.

"Cargo insurance has not kept pace with the digital transformation of freight forwarding, and we believe it should be as easy to arrange as creating a shipment," said Matthew Phillips, Chief Commercial Officer, Breeze.

"Our partnership with Realm Realtime embeds insurance directly into the freight forwarding workflow, reducing manual administration and making it easier for businesses to insure more shipments. Better data and automation simplify the process, reduce the risk of errors, and help freight forwarders move cargo with greater confidence."

A direct application programming interface (API) integration automates the exchange of shipment data between the two platforms, reducing administration while helping freight forwarders obtain insurance at the point a shipment is created.

“The future of freight forwarding lies in connected, intelligent platforms that remove complexity rather than add to it,” said Misty-Anne Booysen, CEO, Realm Realtime.

“Our partnership with Breeze is another milestone in that vision, embedding cargo insurance directly into the operational workflow so our customers can access essential services exactly when they need them.

“By bringing together best-in-class technology through seamless integrations, we’re building a platform that empowers freight forwarders to operate more efficiently, make smarter decisions, and deliver an exceptional experience to their customers.”

The partnership is available to all Realm Realtime users, regardless of whether they have previously arranged cargo insurance through Breeze.

The integration forms part of Breeze's wider strategy to modernize cargo insurance by embedding digital insurance services into the software platforms freight forwarders use every day.

By removing barriers to purchasing insurance, Breeze aims to improve operational efficiency, reduce administrative burden, and encourage greater uptake of cargo insurance across the logistics industry.

The announcement of the new integration was made at the Multimodal exhibition, NEC, Birmingham, UK where Eyal Goldberg, Chief Executive Officer, Breeze will be speaking on a panel titled Visibility Isn’t Value: How AI Drives Real Results in Multimodal Logistics at 13:40, Wednesday 1 July.
