Bertling Logistics launches time-definite products for its global airfreight services

Jun 06, 2024

In line with the increasing global demand for specialised airfreight services from our customers, we are pleased to introduce our global time-definite airfreight products, which support individual service requirements through various verticals from airport to airport. In addition to these airfreight services, we offer door-to-door services within our global network, as well as customs brokerage and other value-added services.

Whether clients are looking for alternatives to disrupted modes of transport, a highly technical air charter solution for your time-sensitive freight, or a fast and reliable solution for urgent deliveries, our IATA licensed team of air freight experts will find the most suitable solution to get your cargo delivered on time. Our team in Düsseldorf works closely with our company-wide regional air freight hubs in locations such as Singapore, China, UAE, USA, Chile, and South Africa, as well as our extensive network of airline partners.

A few weeks ago, we were delighted to announce the opening of our new office in Düsseldorf, located in the vibrant Düsseldorf Media Harbour in the stunning Cradle, Germany's first hybrid timber office building. Situated in the heart of the Düsseldorf Media Harbour, the area is a strategically located within the country triangle of the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany.

At a distance of 250-550km from the major airports of Frankfurt, Amsterdam, Brussels, Liege and 8 km from Düsseldorf International Airport, this is an excellent area to consolidate European import and export shipments.

"We are very excited to expand our presence in Germany with our new office in Düsseldorf, which will house our airfreight and project logistics team," said Colin MacIsaac, CEO of Bertling Logistics. "Our growing team of airfreight experts will provide extended Airfreight Services for our local and global customers more quickly and efficiently," Colin continued.

“We have chosen Duesseldorf as one of the most flexible and convenient European Airfreight Hub in order to be agile and flexible to our customers’ needs, working on virtual EU consolidations using the various airports of Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Amsterdam, Liege and Maastricht. We also offer centralised special services such as charter, OBCs, cargo drone services," says Janine Seemke, Global Head of Airfreight.

Airfreight with a touch of green

Each of our airfreight logistics products and services can be booked with our fifth product “B. Green” for sustainable airfreight shipments, by using Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), efficient route planning, consolidation and/or emission compensation solutions. Bertling’s in-house developed Carbon Footprint Tracker helps to calculate pre- and post-flight emissions the flight, identify opportunities to reduce emissions and/or to compensate for unavoidable emissions by supporting one of Bertling’s four preferred global compensation projects.
