ATA, ACT 1 Renew Partnership to Advance Trucking Industry’s Priorities

Feb 02, 2024

Today, the American Trucking Associations announced a one-year renewal of an alliance with ACT 1—the Allied Committee for the Trucking Industry. By remaining the premier sponsor of ATA events, ACT 1 will continue to build on its productive partnership with ATA to promote trucking advocacy, ATA meetings, and the association’s targeted efforts to strengthen the industry.

“ACT 1 suppliers boost trucking companies’ efficiency with the most cutting-edge equipment, and their partnership with ATA helps elevate the events and programs we offer to ensure that our members have the resources they need to grow and achieve their strategic goals,” said ATA President and CEO Chris Spear. “We appreciate the steadfast partnership of ACT 1, which will increase opportunities for our industry to network, learn and find consensus on important issues so that we can speak with one voice and improve the effectiveness of our advocacy nationwide.”

“ACT 1 is honored to once again renew our sponsorship agreement with the American Trucking Associations,” said ACT 1 President Rence Oliphant, vice president of global sales at Hendrickson. “The companies that make up ACT 1 are well aligned with ATA and the Associations’ goals and vision to further improve the safety and image of trucking. We look forward to continuing to provide forums for the exchange of ideas and thought leadership for our industry.”

Under this agreement, ACT 1 will be the premier sponsor of many of ATA’s premier events over the next year, such as:

  • The 2024 ATA Technology & Maintenance Council’s Annual Meeting & Transportation Technology Exhibition;
  • The 2024 ATA Mid-Year Management Session;
  • The 2024 ATA Safety Management Council’s National Truck Driving Championships and National Step Van Driving Championships;
  • The 2024 ATA’s National Truck Driver Appreciation Week;
  • The 2024 ATA Management Conference & Exhibition; and
  • The 2024 ATA SMC & Transportation Security Council’s Safety, Security & Human Resources National Conference & Exhibition.

ACT 1 is a group of leading industry suppliers dedicated to enhancing the business environment of the transportation industry. ACT 1’s mission of providing business leaders with the opportunity to exchange ideas, forge new relationships and build a stronger, more successful industry through networking and social events at top national industry meetings complements ATA’s full slate of industry-leading meetings, conferences and exhibitions.
