Arpin International Group promotes Derek Lord to Chief Information Security Officer

Mar 31, 2026

Arpin International Group is pleased to announce the promotion of Derek Lord to Chief Information Security Officer. In his expanded role, he will continue to lead and strengthen the company’s Information Security and Business Compliance programs.

Derek joined Arpin International Group in 2002 as a Network Administrator. He has deep expertise across all areas of information security, including policy development, risk assessments, regulatory audits, incident response, training, and third-party vendor management. In addition to his responsibilities as Director of IT Infrastructure and Operations, Derek is leading a high-performing team within Arpin through a System and Organization Controls (SOC 2) Type II audit. Once completed, this attestation will serve to outwardly demonstrate the company’s commitment to protecting its customers’ data and validate the stringent controls in place.

“Derek has been instrumental in the maturation of the company’s mission-critical functions. He works to continually improve the company’s business continuity programs, reporting against Key Risk Indicators (KRI) to maintain operational effectiveness and strategic alignment across divisions and company vendors. As a trusted advisor to the executive team, we are confident in his ability to position Arpin as a reliable partner our customers can count on to safeguard their personal information,” said President Arpin.

“Working for an outstanding family company like Arpin International Group for the past 24 years has truly been nothing short of great. I began my career here as a Network Administrator and have been fortunate to grow professionally into the roles of Director of IT and Infrastructure and Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). Along the way, I’ve had the opportunity to learn, lead, and contribute in meaningful ways, all while being supported by an incredible team. It has been a genuine pleasure to work alongside such dedicated staff and for ownership that values its people, invests in long‑term success, and truly treats the staff like a family,” said Lord.

Lord is completing an A.S. in Computer Science and Information Sciences at Ashworth College. He resides in Somerset, Massachusetts, with his wife, Kinga, and their son Colin.
