ZIM marks International Day for Persons with Disabilities

ZIM will be lighting more than just Hanukkah candles at their headquarters, the MV ZIM QINGDAO docking in Haifa port, will be also be lit up in purple

December 3rd marks the International Day for Persons with Disabilities and as part of creating awareness for this very important cause, Zim will be joining other landmarks across and around the world by lighting up in purple.

Yakov Baruch, ZIM EVP Human Resources: “ZIM, as an organization driven by clear values including social responsibility, see the right to equality as a key objective and aspire to be a respectful and accessible company, where all employees are full partners in the texture of life and can realize their rights and capabilities. We have close ties with non-profits and other civil societies specializing in advancement of employment of persons with disabilities, and act to provide equal opportunities in employment to our employees with disabilities.

In addition, we work with suppliers who employ people with disabilities, and act to collaborate with civil organizations who help people with disabilities. We believe in Togetherness in every sense of the word and in its day to day implementation.”
