Oct 07, 2024

Recently, Prologis Freight completed a significant breakbulk shipment of a hydraulic crane and its spare parts from Shanghai, China, to Kolkata, India. Weighing a total of 97,326 kilograms, this project was essential for one of their prestigious clients, demonstrating their capabilities in handling complex logistics.

The shipment presented several challenges that required meticulous planning and coordination. First, ensuring the safe transport of such heavy machinery necessitated specialized equipment and expert handling. Their team worked diligently to secure the crane and spare parts, ensuring they were loaded safely for transit.

Customs clearance in India posed another hurdle, requiring precise documentation and compliance with regulations. Their logistics team meticulously prepared all necessary paperwork to facilitate smooth processing upon arrival.

Despite these challenges, their proactive approach and strong communication with all parties involved enabled us to overcome obstacles effectively. Upon reaching Kolkata, the crane and spare parts were inspected thoroughly, confirming their readiness for their client’s operations.
