Sep 30, 2020

Three members to the Worldwide Project Consortium (WWPC) cooperated closely to mobilize a shipment of three heavy break bulk transformers and accessories from the supplier in China to a project site outside Manila on the Philippines.

Steder Group from the Netherlands cooperated for this project with Global Star Logistics from China, who´s experts took care of the origin scope and the charter of a suitable ocean vessel from Shanghai to Manila and Royal Cargo from the Philippines, handling the shipment from the arrival port Manila, including route survey, method statement and civil works up to delivery to final jobsite.

Special challenges by the typhoon “Hagupit” and unexpected Manila port restrictions for the transformer oil, because of the port accident in Beirut recently, did not hinder the timely delivery of all components. The shipper was extremely satisfied by the performance of all parties involved.

  • 7,30 x 3,10 x 3,90 m (LxWxH) each
  • 68 ton each
  • 11 x 40’ft containers with ancillaries
  • 9 pieces break bulk / tanks with ancillaries / transformer oil
  • 103.8 ton in total
  • 203,09 CBM in total
