WorldACD: Trends for the past 5 weeks (wk 22)

In week 22 (May 30 - June 5), worldwide chargeable weight decreased by -5% compared with the week before, for a large part due to Memorial Day in the USA on May 30. The average worldwide rate remained stable at US$ 4.01.

The last two weeks showed an increase in capacity of +2% compared with the preceding two weeks. For worldwide chargeable weight the 2Wo2W change was -3% and rates increased with +1%.

In particular, rates from Asia Pacific to Middle East & South Asia went up in the last two weeks (+3%), while rates from Europe to Asia Pacific went down by -4%.

Compared with last year, the last two weeks showed a worldwide weight decline of -8% and a rate increase of +19%.
