Flagship Founders, the venture studio for maritime technology companies, today announces an important new hire. Joris van Woerkom has now joined the company as Sales Director. In this role, the sales expert will support all startups in the Flagship Founders portfolio in their sales strategies and activities.

The core of Flagship Founders' business model is to assist its startups in all key business areas such as product development, marketing, fundraising, network building, and sales. The latter is a crucial success factor for any company, but especially for companies in the early stages. Joris van Woerkom will now take sales to a new level for Flagship Founders' startups and support them in both European and global expansion.

Joris van Woerkom brings a decade of experience in building SaaS sales operations in maritime and maritime-related sectors. Most recently, he was Vice President of Revenue at DeepSea Technologies, a maritime AI startup that was acquired by the Nabtesco group in mid-2023. This extensive expertise in building and scaling sales operations for fast-growing startups is another critical building block in Flagship Founders’ mission to develop global leaders in the maritime tech space.
