Unigroup announces enhancements to drive growth and operational excellence

As part of its ongoing commitment to growth, enhancing the member experience and driving operational excellence, UniGroup, the parent company of United Van Lines and Mayflower Transit, has made strategic organizational adjustments to strengthen its foundation for the future.

Driving Operational Excellence & Integration

To further optimize operations for efficiency and expansion, Charles Cunningham has been promoted to Chief Operating Officer (COO). In this role, Cunningham will focus on operational processes, seamless integration and the continued development of UniGroup’s Transportation Company. Cunningham has been at UniGroup since 2009 and has most recently served as Executive Vice President of Operations.

"It is a privilege to take on the role of Chief Operating Officer during this exciting period of growth and transformation," Cunningham said. "This year, we are implementing strategic initiatives that will enhance operational efficiency, advance simplification across our network, and drive long-term success. Enabling Growth & Enhancing Member Experience

With a strategic focus on market share growth and member engagement, Bob McCabe will transition into the role of Chief Growth and Experience Officer. McCabe will oversee the expansion of the UniGroup network managing relationships with members, stakeholders and external partners. A seasoned executive, McCabe has been with UniGroup for more than 30 years serving most recently as COO.

"I am honored to step into the role of Chief Growth and Experience Officer and excited to help shape this new position within the Company,” McCabe said. “With a strong focus on expanding our network, strengthening relationships and enhancing the member experience, we have a tremendous opportunity to drive meaningful growth. I look forward to working alongside our talented team to build innovative strategies that support our members and fuel expansion."
