Trucker Tools, a DAT Freight & Analytics product and the industry’s leading freight tracking and visibility platform, has introduced automated “running late” alerts to help freight brokers improve ETA accuracy and manage communications with truckers and shippers.
Trucker Tools uses traffic data, historical patterns, and location information to provide real-time load tracking, more reliable arrival times, and automatically alert brokers when loads are trending late.
Brokers can configure who receives running-late notifications and under what specific conditions. Notifications can be integrated into a broker’s transportation management system (TMS) using a webhook, or sent by email.
“There’s a lot riding on your response when you’re asked for an ETA,” said Kary Jablonski, DAT Vice President, Trucker Tools & Broker Growth. “These alerts let you be proactive with customers when a load is late without needing to monitor location updates continuously.”
Running-late alerts add to the Trucker Tools suite of automated freight tracking capabilities and are available now to all Trucker Tools customers.
A product of DAT Freight & Analytics, Trucker Tools provides real-time visibility and document management for nearly 1,000 freight brokers. Its popular Trucker Tools app helps 350,000 owner-operators, carriers, and drivers track loads hands-free and find essential services on the road.
