Terminal Marítima Mazatlán (Tmaz), a Hanseatic Global Terminals port, announced the appointment of Carlos Alberto Balderas Acosta, who will lead the Commercial and Business Development area, and Gerardo Monreal, who will assume the role of Operations Manager.

Balderas holds a degree in Industrial Engineering from Universidad Cristóbal Colón and brings more than 20 years of international experience across both the public and private sectors. He has specialized in developing commercial strategies within the logistics, port, automotive, and energy industries.

Monreal, meanwhile, brings extensive experience in operational management and process coordination, contributing a strong focus on efficiency, operational continuity, and the enhancement of the terminal’s service standards. He has been part of the Tmaz team for nearly 14 years and possesses in-depth knowledge of the port’s operations and dynamics.

“These appointments reflect our commitment to further strengthening Tmaz’s leadership in key areas that support business growth. We are confident that this new phase will enable us to continue moving forward with greater strength, efficiency, and a clear focus on the needs of our customers and the industry,” said Tmaz’s Chief Executive Officer.

Through these appointments, Tmaz aims to further consolidate its multipurpose terminal capabilities, drive sustainable growth, and strengthen its ability to respond to the challenges facing the port and logistics industries.

In 2025, Tmaz handled a total of 1,447,512 tons of cargo, including more than 172,000 vehicles and 654,000 tons of steel.
