TIACA opens applications for the 2026 Air Cargo Sustainability Awards

Jan 26, 2026

The International Air Cargo Association (TIACA) has announced applications for the 2026 TIACA Air Cargo Sustainability Awards are now officially open. CHAMP Cargosystems continues its support of the Air Cargo Sustainability Awards as the official sponsor. The awards in their 8th year recognize outstanding initiatives that advance sustainability, drive innovation, and contribute to a more efficient and environmentally responsible air cargo industry.

The TIACA Sustainability Awards celebrate companies, organizations, and individuals across the air cargo supply chain that are delivering measurable progress through sustainability-focused projects, technologies, and best practices. Participants are invited to submit initiatives that demonstrate impact, scalability, and innovation in addressing environmental and social challenges.

“We are proud to open applications for the 2026 Sustainability Awards and to continue highlighting the inspiring work being done across our industry,” said Roos Bakker, TIACA Chair. “These awards showcase practical solutions and leadership that are shaping a more sustainable future for air cargo.”

Two categories of sustainability leadership will be recognized in 2026:

Corporate Prize

The Corporate Prize honors an established corporation, international organization, or academic contributor with a long-standing presence in the air cargo community that has demonstrated sustained commitment to sustainability.

Start-Up and Small Business Prize

The Start-Up and Small Business Prize is designed to recognize and encourage young and growing companies building their presence in the air cargo industry with innovative and impactful sustainability solutions.

  • Winner: USD 10,000
  • Two runners-up: USD 2,500 each

While the Corporate Prize focuses on recognition and industry leadership, the Start-Up and Small Business Prize provides direct financial support to help emerging innovators accelerate their sustainability initiatives.

“Driving meaningful change requires collaboration across every level of the supply chain. CHAMP is proud to sponsor these awards, which provide a crucial platform for the flexible, tech-driven solutions that will transform air cargo into a more efficient and sustainable ecosystem.” – Manuel Malindo, CEO, CHAMP Cargosystems

Applications for the 2026 Sustainability Awards are now open and must be submitted by March 14th. Entries will be reviewed by a panel of industry experts, with winners announced during TIACA’s 2026 Executive Summit, to be held Warsaw, Poland, June 1-3, 2026.

“The Sustainability Awards continue to highlight the ingenuity and commitment within our industry,” said Glyn Hughes, TIACA Director General. We look forward to seeing the ideas and solutions that will help move air cargo toward a more sustainable and resilient future.”
