Tecon Suape cited anew for ESG practices

Jul 01, 2026
Tecon Suape is among the 16 companies awarded with the 2026 Green Company Seal during a ceremony on June 10 at the Palácio do Campo das Princesas.

Tecon Suape, International Container Terminal Services, Inc.’s (ICTSI) operation in the Port of Suape, Brazil, received its second consecutive Green Company Seal from the Government of Pernambuco. The company is among 16 organizations that received the certification this year for adopting sustainable practices and promoting actions aligned with Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) principles.

Created by State Law No. 16.112/2017, the Green Company Seal Program is administered by a commission formed by the Secretariat of the Environment, Sustainability and Fernando de Noronha, the State Environmental Agency, the Commercial Board of Pernambuco, and the Secretariat of Professional Development and Entrepreneurship. The program encourages businesses to combine economic growth, environmental preservation and social inclusion.

For Tecon Suape, the achievement reflects the continuous work to make operations increasingly efficient, responsible and committed to sustainable development, creating value for society, customers, shareholders and the future generation.

Valid for two years, the Green Company Seal adds to other recent recognitions in the terminal’s socio-environmental agenda, such as the Ocean Friend 2025 seal, which showcases Tecon Suape as a leading environmentally responsible port.

The company continues to strengthen its operations through innovation and sustainable business practices while supporting Pernambuco’s production chain and the sustainable development of the Brazilian port sector.
