Total Distribution, Inc. (TDI), a wholly owned subsidiary of Peoples Services, Inc. (PSI), headquartered in Canton, Ohio, has acquired the assets of Swafford Trucking, Inc., Swafford Warehousing, Inc., and Swafford Transportation, Inc., based in Greer, Spartanburg and Greenville, South Carolina. Doug Sibila, Chief Executive Officer of TDI said, “Adding the high-quality Swafford Companies and services to our existing network will improve the service levels and flexibility to PSI and Swafford’s current customers.”

Swafford’s sterling reputation and history were a critical component and rationale for the acquisition. Van Swafford, founder of the Swafford Companies stated, “As founder of Swafford Companies, my goal was simple - to build a company based on a high level of professional services. Good fortune and great customers, some for decades, have guided us to reach our accomplishments.”

Swafford goes on to discuss the new partnership, “I am pleased to announce this new chapter in joining forces with TDI. Having known the TDI companies, Doug Sibila and his management staff as part of the International Warehouse Logistics Association and Insurance Captive for many years, I can see the opportunities and growth the company can provide. TDI’s values and expectations for service and people are second to none and are totally in line with ours at Swafford Companies. I am thankful for the journey and wish all continued success.”

Total Distribution, Inc. an ISO 9001:2015 certified 3rd party logistics and warehouse provider and a member of IWLA, OTA, ATA, and WERC.
