SUUS develops its groupage network in CEE with a new Poland-Slovakia line

Mar 10, 2026

Rohlig SUUS Logistics, a leading logistics operator in Central and Eastern Europe, continues to expand its international groupage network in the region. The company has launched a new daily connection between Rzeszów and Košice. The service enables efficient distribution in eastern Slovakia and completes SUUS’ nationwide road setup coverage across the country.

The new Rzeszów-Košice groupage line operates in both directions with daily departures on working days and a transit time of 24 hours. The service ensures efficient LTL distribution across eastern Slovakia. It is also fully interconnected with SUUS’ domestic network in Poland, allowing customers to use the line as part of broader logistics operations, including transport to and from other regions of Poland and further European markets. This new connection is part of an integrated groupage distribution network covering Poland, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, and Hungary within the V4 region.

Piotr Szałkiewicz, European Road Network Director at Rohlig SUUS Logistics, says: “The new line strengthens our groupage setup in Slovakia, enabling efficient distribution to the eastern part of the country. At the same time, it is an important complement to our existing setup, allowing us to cover the entire Slovak market with efficient road services.” He adds: “The development of our LTL lines in Slovakia is a key element of our broader network expansion strategy in Central and Eastern Europe. We observe increasing demand for this scope of service across the region, as many companies treat it as a one business unit. That is why we are planning further network development in other CEE countries where we are present.”

Beyond the Rzeszów–Košice groupage line, SUUS also offers daily connections from Katowice to Zvolen and Martin, covering central Slovakia, as well as services from Katowice via Brno to Bratislava, serving the western part of the country while connecting Slovak and Czech markets.

On the Polish side, the new service is handled via the SUUS logistics center in Rzeszów, where the operator provides end-to-end support, including warehousing, value-added services (such as co-packing), cross-docking operations and customs clearance.

Development of logistics services in Slovakia

Gergely Fonod, Managing Director of Rohlig SUUS Logistics in Slovakia, explains: “Slovakia’s economy is driven by strong industrial sectors, particularly automotive and electronics, and by intensive trade with neighboring European markets. Efficient road transport of raw materials and finished goods is therefore crucial for business operations in the country. The development of our local setup increases our capabilities in domestic distribution and strengthens the Polish direction, which is one of Slovakia’s key trading routes. It also enables further transport to other markets, such as Germany, Scandinavia and Baltic States, but also connections with Polish seaports, improving our customers’ ability to operate on a global scale.”

Rohlig SUUS Logistics has been present on the Slovak market since 2020. The operator provides a wide range of logistics solutions, including international and domestic road transport, both LTL and FTL, warehousing at its logistics hub in Bratislava with value-added services, as well as rail, sea and air freight and customs services.
