Successful second year for Freight Fest Transportation & Logistics Conference

Oct 20, 2023

The second-annual Truck N’ Hustle Freight Fest returned to Houston Sept. 28-Oct. 1, welcoming more than 450 attendees, 25+ speakers, and more than a dozen exhibitors. The three-day event boasted even more content than last year, all of it focused on the most up-to-date information, trends, and technologies in end-to-end transportation, logistics, and the supply chain industry.

The second year also included a new VIP Mastermind dinner led by Mitchell Ward, CEO and chairman of MW Logisitics LLC, and Ami Kassar, CEO of MultiFunding LLC and author of “The Growth Dilemma,” that welcomed 160 guests. On the menu were industry hot topics like the economy and creative financing, as well as business experience tips for buying companies and building a team, and most importantly, being resilient as a business owner through mindset and the power of positivity.

All Truck N’ Hustle Freight Fest offerings are catered specifically to the attendees — professionals, small business owners, entrepreneurs, and industry veterans — eager to learn, network, grow their businesses and access new opportunities.

“We are grateful to all Freight Fest attendees, speakers and exhibitors who helped make this year’s event a huge success,” said Rahmel Wattley, founder of Truck N’ Hustle. “I’d like to give a special thank you to OTR Solutions, our incredibly supportive title sponsor and an important name in our industry.”

OTR did not only support the event, but the technology and financial services company also had an on-site presence, including a keynote address from Grace Maher, chief operating officer.

Additional noteworthy speakers discussing topics of vital importance in the transportation and logistics arena today included:

  • Mitchell Ward, MW Logistics — “3PL of the Future”
  • Porscha Jackson, City of Houston Office of Business Opportunity (OBO) — “Doing Business With Government”
  • Gregory Reed, National Star Route Mail Carrier Associations — “Doing Business With USPS”
  • Jessica King, Palletized Trucking — “Intermodal & Specialized Freight”
  • Spencer Tenney, The Tenney Group — “Buying and Selling Transportation Companies”

Truck N’ Hustle Freight Fest will do it again next year. The third-annual event is scheduled for Sept. 26-29, 2024, at Royalton Sonesta in Houston, and early bird tickets and sponsorships are available now: https://freightfest.com/.
