Sixth year of unbroken success for Hactl

Oct 17, 2017
Hong Kong - Hong Kong Air Cargo Terminals Limited (Hactl) and its value-added logistics subsidiary, Hacis, scooped no less than four awards at this year’s Payload Asia Awards in Singapore, maintaining an unbroken record of achievement for the group in all six years of the event. Hactl once again walked away with the Ground Handler of the Year award (Customer Choice), marking its sixth success in the category. For the second year in a row, Hactl also won the Green Award (Customer Choice), recognising its continuing strong efforts in the area of environmental protection. Meanwhile Hacis maintained its four-year run of successes, winning both Customer Choice and Industry Choice sections of the Regional Logistics Provider of the Year category.     Hactl Executive Director Vivien Lau (who is also Managing Director of Hacis) and Finance Director Amy Lam were delighted to accept the awards at a gala ceremony held at the Crowne Plaza, Changi Airport, attended by hundreds of senior representatives of the air cargo industry. The Payload Asia Awards feature three Editor’s Choice and twenty category awards. Each of the latter is chosen through one of two parallel tracks: Customer Choice Awards being based on online voting by customers, business partners and Payload Asia readers, and Industry Choice Awards being decided by a panel of industry experts, based on detailed submissions entered by third parties or by the applicants themselves. All results are independently audited. In this year’s awards, 90 nominations were received, and 25,000 votes were cast online for the Customer Choice awards. Says Vivien Lau: “It was a great surprise and honour to receive the four awards. We especially value those which result from online voting, as these clearly reflect the genuine views of our customers and users. We thank all those who supported us with their votes. “Our long-running success in these awards is extremely gratifying, but we do not take this success for granted. Hactl and Hacis will continue to invest, to innovate and to drive excellence in all aspects of their businesses. Customer satisfaction and continuous improvement remain our goals.”
