Shipper-based TMS adds first of its kind payment portal

Feb 12, 2026

Freightro, a platform for unified logistics management and procurement, is rehabilitating the convoluted freight payment environment with an all-in-one freight audit and payment portal.

FreightroPay enables shippers to quickly pay for all freight transportation in the same platform where they procure and manage contracted and spot freight, analyze transportation spend, and negotiate with providers in real time. Logistics service providers on the platform benefit from instant remittance.

The Freightro STMS empowers users to connect with a vast network of shippers and providers, facilitating efficient and effective collaborations. With FreightroPay, freight management and accounting processes have now been consolidated into a single system. The new functionality reduces the need for full-time focus on freight audit and bill pay, allowing shippers to redirect precious labor resources.

“Even at Fortune 500 companies, freight audit and payment is a highly manual process that often includes invoice verification, coding and multi-provider payments,” said Matt Costello, president and founder of Freightro. “We’ve created a tool that does all this at the click of a button. Shippers on the platform can now make one payment that gets distributed automatically to all their providers.”

Freightro gives shippers a holistic freight transportation experience, combining procurement, communication, document generation, networking and payment with smart technology and automation. But unlike over-digitized transportation management systems, Freightro blends technology with real-life customer support from transportation experts, a crucial element in the always-changing freight industry.

The most useful supply chain technology must also have a low barrier to entry. That’s why the Freightro STMS is intuitive and incredibly easy to use, with even the most complex implementations taking less than a week. Once on the platform, shippers can optimize procurement with automated bid requests; select the best provider based on price, reliability and other metrics; and track performance or identify trends with Freightro’s analysis tools. Larger manufacturers use Freightro’s highly customizable transportation management system to de-silo their business, centralizing freight shipping operations across myriad locations.

“For too long, shippers of all sizes have relied on a combination of convoluted spreadsheets, emailed invoices from multiple providers, and dedicated accounting teams to handle audits and various methods of payment. This results in errors and delays on top of wasted resources,” Costello said. “Unlike other FABP solutions, we’ve brought everything into a user-friendly dashboard in the platform, offering end-to-end visibility without extra tools or integrations so our users can redirect their accounting resources to revenue-generating activities.”
