SeaCube Containers LLC has placed an order for 3,000 containers refrigerated by Carrier Transicold’s advanced OptimaLINE™ units, making it the first major container leasing company to acquire the highly efficient systems. Carrier Transicold is part of Carrier Global Corporation (NYSE: CARR), a global leader in intelligent climate and energy solutions.

"Given the evolving sustainability requirements and rising operating costs, we sought a reefer solution that offered the flexibility to adapt to new and changing demands," said Bob Sappio, CEO of SeaCube. These enhancements also enable tighter temperature controls, helping to decrease customers’ overall carbon footprint, while providing peace of mind.
Key features of the OptimaLINE system include:

  • Maintaining high-energy efficiency at all operating points at all load conditions with outstanding performance in terms of efficiency and reliability.
  • Lowering annual energy costs by up to 15% compared to competition.*
  • Providing a greater reduction of carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions by up to 40% compared to previous Carrier units.*

“We’re delighted that SeaCube has chosen the next-generation, future-ready, OptimaLINE reefer containers for their latest acquisition,” said Vineet Kashyap, Vice President & General Manager, Global Container Refrigeration, Carrier Transicold. “The design of the OptimaLINE unit enables us to deliver a step change in efficiency, reliability and performance for SeaCube and their customers.”
