Saint John Port Days conference moves to free virtual format in June

May 06, 2021

Port Days, a maritime and transportation industry conference with more than 60 years of history, is held each June and, though stopped by the pandemic in 2020, will be held this year for the first time virtually on June 8th.

Port Days has been a part of the local Port identity and a ritual for many stakeholders and partners ending with a longstanding Seafood Fiesta dinner tradition. Though the 2021 virtual edition will not include this feast, Port Saint John and its partners are coming together to highlight pillars of the Port’s strategic direction leading to the Port of the Future.

Port Saint John and its partners are in a state of growth being stimulated by the West Side Modernization Project, a stage of evolution related to post-pandemic resumption of cruise activity, and an era of even greater collaboration with our community and port industry partners. These themes will all be explored in 5 separate sessions on June 8th.

The virtual conference is free to register and begins at 10:00 am ADT and then breaks at noon. The afternoon session picks back up at 1pm ADT and runs until 2:30 pm ADT.

The sessions cover many areas of focus for the Port and community including:
Panel: Port Saint John with Canadian National, Canadian Pacific, DP World, J.D. Irving Limited, Stewart McKelvey
Panel: Port Saint John with NB Post-Secondary Education Training & Labour, Envision Saint John
