Royal Mail to start exporting some UK parcels after cyber hit

Royal Mail has resumed shipping some international packages, two weeks after a cyberattack forced the UK postal operator to pause letters and parcels destined for overseas. 

Royal Mail told customers to stop trying to send items abroad on Jan. 11, causing a headache for small British exporters. 

Now, it has told business customers who want to send parcels through its international tracked and signed service, as well as signed packages, that the service has been resumed. However, it asked customers not to post any new tracked or untracked parcels through its network. 

The company said it “sincerely” apologized for the disruption, and would reinstate remaining services as soon as possible.
