Robinson Weeks Partners launches construction for latest expansion at Ladson Industrial Park

Jan 11, 2022

As the Charleston market continues to see significant demand from industrial users, Robinson Weeks Partners announced that it has broken ground on two new warehouse facilities at Ladson Industrial Park in Ladson, South Carolina. Joining an existing industrial building at the site, Ladson 200 is a 305,760-square-foot cross-docked industrial facility and Ladson 300 is a 202,800-square-foot single load building. The facilities are expected to deliver in October and December 2022.

“Robinson Weeks Partners is excited to continue investing in the Charleston market with the development of Ladson 200 and 300,” said Tyler Jones, Senior Vice President of Acquisitions and Development. “Substantial population growth, access to a Top 10 US seaport and continued expansion of e-commerce users are driving demand for high-quality industrial projects in the Charleston market.”

Rising on a 102-acre site, Ladson 200 and 300 will feature a best-in-class design to meet the needs of a broad range of tenants. Both facilities will feature 32’ clear heights and approximately 2,000 square feet of move-in ready spec office space to expedite occupancy and operations for prospective tenants.

Boasting unparalleled proximity to the Port of Charleston and close access to 1-26, Ladson 200 and 300 provide ideal ingress and egress conditions for industrial users. With recent capacity and infrastructure improvements by the South Carolina Port Authority and strong population fundamentals, goods are increasingly flowing through the Port of Charleston as companies set up operations in the submarket to leverage the location and boost warehouse productivity. In addition, corporations such as Boeing, Mercedes-Benz, Volvo and Walmart continue to invest and expand in the market.

“We anticipate substantial leasing interest well before these properties officially hit the market,” said Matt Davis, Senior Vice President of Leasing and Development. “There’s a significant appetite for industrial development in this emerging logistics center, and we look forward to sharing more news on our progress in the months ahead.”

Ladson Industrial Park currently houses Ladson 100, a recently completed 420,888-square-foot warehouse facility leased by outdoor power products manufacturer Daye North America. At full build out, the site will feature 1.2 million square feet of rentable industrial space.
