Regal Logistics donates 35,000 N-95 masks, asks others in industry to give

Seattle, WA – Regal Logistics is appealing to other 3rd party logistics providers, warehouses, Distribution Centers and manufacturers to follow its lead and help hospitals during the COVID-19 crisis by donating any excess, unopened boxes of unexpired N95 respirator masks.

Regal answered the call with 35,000 of the much-needed personal protective equipment (PPE) masks in a donation to CHI Franciscan hospital system. An N95 respirator is a protective device designed to achieve a very close facial fit and efficient filtration of airborne particles.

“We’re consistently working to get respirators for our hospital staff and very much appreciate Regal Logistics’ generosity,” says Sean Wehmeyer, Director of Supply Chain Management for CHI Franciscan. “The N95 masks Regal donated were especially helpful because of the large quantity, they were properly stored and in original packaging. This means they could be efficiently tested for immediate use on our health care front lines.”

“We’re encouraging companies like ours that have more than enough of these critical masks to donate as soon as they can to help save lives and keep our front-line health care workers safe,” says Rand Neeves, CEO of Regal Logistics. “We had extra N95 masks, beyond what we’re using for our own essential operations, and donated them to our local hospital. Hopefully the need for this personal protective equipment doesn’t last much longer."
