
Today, U.S. Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo met with Minister for Trade and Export Growth of New Zealand Damien O’Connor to reaffirm the importance of the U.S.-New Zealand commercial relationship. During their meeting, the two discussed their shared interests and objectives ahead of the next Ministerial meeting of the Indo-Pacific Economic Framework for Prosperity (IPEF), which is scheduled to take place in Detroit, Michigan later this month, as well as the need to maximize progress during the Singapore round of IPEF negotiations currently underway. They also discussed their ongoing engagement through the U.S. Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC), which the United States is hosting this year.
