Rawabi Vallianz Offshore Services (RVOS) is equipping its fleet with the Fueltrax Electronic Fuel Management System (EFMS) to facilitate accurate tracking of fuel consumption and emissions in real time. RVOS (an equally-shared joint venture company between Singapore-based Vallianz Holdings Limited and Saudi Arabia-based Rawabi Holding) “provides offshore support vessels and integrated offshore marine solutions to support the global energy industry”. By taking the milestone step to adopt Fueltrax EFMS, RVOS are putting themselves firmly on the path toward achieving maritime digitization.
Fueltrax EFMS: a cutting-edge fuel management solution
The Fueltrax EFMS is the first and only patented fuel management solution. Both smart and self-contained, Fueltrax EFMS features live data reporting on direct fuel consumption and transfers to help vessel operators optimize their operations and, ultimately, achieve fuel efficiency, while also minimizing operational and fuel costs. “The system achieves direct measurements using Coriolis smart meters to measure mass-flow rather than volume. The system consistently measures fuel quality and transmits that data to the Fueltrax operations center for real-time monitoring”, Fueltrax explains.
Embracing digitization
Of course, effective fuel management is essential for vessel and vehicle fleets alike, and digitization is playing a key role in helping fleet managers minimize fuel wastage and improve efficiency. Take a look at the Fuelmaster range of diesel tanks, for example. Not only do they provide secure fuel storage and efficient dispensing, but real time data is also live streamed and can be accessed 24/7. Management information and large range reports are also automatically exported to MS Office programmes. “There is no doubt that digitization in the upstream/offshore arena is here to stay,” said Ahmed Al-Qadeeb, Vice President of Oilfield Services Division for Rawabi Holding Group. “With that in mind, we wanted to be sure that we partnered with a company that could provide a best-in-class system with the highest accuracy”, Al-Qadeeb said about their new venture. “The impressive quality and stability of the Fueltrax EFMS, and first-rate response from their support team in Houston made it clear that this was the solution that would meet the high standards of sustained performance set for the RVOS fleet”.
EFMS installation has already begun
RVOS conducted a comprehensive trial of the Fueltrax EFMS that finished at the end of 2021: the promising results in turn prompted their decision to equip almost half their fleet of over 50 vessels with the innovative system. So far, eight vessels have been completely outfitted, while 14 others are still currently in progress. EFMS Installations have also been completed in multiple countries, including, Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, Dubai, and Singapore.
“RVOS is leading the way with their very proactive approach in recognizing and acting on the increasing demand for compliance, efficiency, and accuracy in vessel fuel transparency,” John Donovan, Vice President of Operations for Fueltrax commented on the exciting development. “They are first movers in the Arabian Gulf region, setting a standard for fleet-wide digitization that others will soon follow.”
