Qatar Airways Cargo announces the launch of Pharma Passive FlexTemp

May 06, 2026

Qatar Airways Cargo has once again raised the bar for pharmaceutical air transport with the introduction of Pharma Passive FlexTemp—a new solution designed to tackle one of the biggest challenges in the industry: managing dual-temperature requirements within a single shipment journey.

Available as an add-on service for Pharma Passive and Pharma Critical Passive, the new service from the world’s leading air cargo carrier is the first of its kind to support temperature-sensitive pharmaceutical and healthcare shipments as their thermal needs evolve during transit—particularly when single-use passive packaging reaches the end of its effective life cycle.

As the use of self-contained passive packaging continues to grow across the pharma supply chain, so too does the complexity of temperature control. Many shipments begin their journey within a defined temperature range, secured by passive solutions, but then require a different transport temperature to preserve product integrity. Until now, this critical transition phase has remained largely unsupported across the air cargo industry.

By introducing Pharma Passive FlexTemp, Qatar Airways Cargo is setting a new benchmark for pharmaceutical handling, reinforcing its position as a leader in specialised cargo solutions. The product delivers enhanced flexibility, greater peace of mind, and improved shelf-life protection for temperature-sensitive healthcare shipments transiting through the carrier’s global network.

Pharma Passive FlexTemp is now available for booking in conjunction with Pharma Passive and Pharma Critical Passive via Qatar Airways Cargo’s Digital Lounge, across all FlexTemp corridors on the carrier’s network.
