P&S Transportation announced the successful deployment of VIC (Virtual Information Coordinator), an industry-leading AI logistics coordinator capable of handling complex conversations in real time. Developed in partnership with Hyperscale Systems, VIC has eliminated hold times at scale with the same informational awareness as other dispatch channels.
The system represents a milestone in practical deployment of advanced AI agent technology in physical operations, addressing one of trucking's most persistent operational bottlenecks: communication overload that leaves drivers waiting and dispatchers overwhelmed.
Revolutionary approach to driver communication
Unlike a traditional phone tree or basic chatbot, VIC functions as a fully conversational virtual coordinator that integrates directly with transportation management systems, maintenance platforms and telematics data. When drivers call, VIC instantly accesses their current location, load assignments, equipment history and other information to provide comprehensive, contextual responses.
“Drivers are the backbone of our business, and their time is too valuable to waste on hold music,” said Houston Vaughn, president and COO, PS Logistics. “With VIC, we’re putting better tools directly in their hands. It’s about making their day smoother, safer and more productive.”
The system handles the full spectrum of driver communications:
Technological timing: Building the future of freight operations
"Twelve months ago, this technology simply didn't exist at production quality," explained Oliver Song, Hyperscale co-founder. "We founded Hyperscale Systems specifically because we recognized that agentic AI had finally reached the sophistication needed for complex, domain-specific applications like physical operations."
The unique advantage lies in combining P&S Transportation’s operational scale and seasoned team with Hyperscale's deep fleet experience -- gained through years working at telematics provider Samsara (NYSE: IOT) -- and industry-leading expertise in AI agent development.
"We're building the always-on intelligence layer that makes operations teams feel like superheroes, especially folks on the front lines who keep everything moving," added Hyperscale co-founder Bo DellaMaria. "There is so much we can do beyond VIC’s initial impact, and we are thrilled to partner with PS Logistics on this journey."
"Drivers deserve technology that works as hard as they do," said Mauricio Paredes, VP of IT at PS Logistics. "VIC represents our commitment to innovation that directly improves the driver experience while advancing our standards of operational excellence."
