Cart.com, a leading provider of unified commerce and logistics solutions that enable merchants to sell and fulfill anywhere, today announced its continued partnership with Portland Leather Goods, the go-to for high quality leather bags at an affordable price, as the company’s U.S. fulfillment provider. Following year over year growth of 77% for the brand in Q4, Cart.com will continue to provide best-in-class fulfillment for Portland Leather Goods leveraging its software-enabled inventory management and 3PL capabilities.

“We are proud to close out an incredible holiday season with Portland Leather Goods, a company that prides itself on both leading with kindness and creating products of the highest quality,” said Omair Tariq, Founder and CEO of Cart.com. “We are especially impressed with how we saw the Portland Leather Goods team put its values into action, celebrating our incredible frontline employees who worked tirelessly to pull off a record-breaking peak season for the Cart.com fulfillment network. We look forward to our continued partnership and accomplishing even more in the new year.”

During peak season, Cart.com saw a nearly 300% increase in gross merchandise value with its team of warehouse associates supporting a threefold average increase in shipped units compared to last year. For Portland Leather Goods, the Cart.com team supported over 300,000 peak season orders and shipped over 500,000 bags to the brand’s customers. To celebrate the hard work of these employees, Portland Leather Goods donated more than 80 handmade leather items to the frontline workers who delivered on the company’s commitment to a seamless holiday shopping period.

“At Portland Leather Goods, we value quality and community above all else, which made Cart.com a natural partner for us,” said Scott Allen, Director of Operations at Portland Leather Goods. “Cart.com’s expertise has enabled us to deliver the best possible service to our customers, especially during critical shopping periods like Black Friday and Cyber Monday. This was easily our best peak season performance in terms of fulfillment operations to date, thanks in large part to Cart.com’s warehouse team, and we wanted to recognize and thank those employees for their hard work this year,” continued Allen.

Cart.com provides the physical and digital infrastructure that unifies operations across channels and empowers thousands of multichannel merchants to sell and fulfill anywhere their customers are. The company offers a complete suite of digitally driven logistics capabilities, enterprise-grade channel and order management software and expert services to simplify commerce for middle-market and enterprise companies.
