CIRCLE Group: NextFreight signs contract with START 4.0

one hour ago

CIRCLE Group announces that its subsidiary NextFreight has signed a contract with START 4.0 – the Competence Centre for the Security and Optimization of Strategic Infrastructures – for the provision of innovation consulting services aimed at further developing TIAKI Logistics. The project is part of the initiatives promoted by START 4.0, a highly specialized Competence Centre established under the auspices of the Italian Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy as part of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan – Next Generation EU.

The service is intended to enable the TIAKI portal to support the responsible governance of logistics supply chains through a digital model capable of ensuring that relationships between contracting companies and suppliers at the various levels of outsourcing are verifiable, traceable and compliant, thereby reducing the risk of penalties associated with joint liability.

The objective is to develop a digital infrastructure capable of reducing supply chain risk by integrating legality, contractual governance and sustainability into a single traceable, compliance-oriented system.

“This contract represents an important milestone and confirms the Group’s expertise in increasingly advanced digital solutions for the responsible and transparent management of logistics supply chains. The ability to integrate traceability, contractual governance, ESG indicators and advanced risk analysis tools enables us to provide tangible responses to the needs of contracting companies

and operators in a market where compliance, sustainability and supply chain reliability are becoming increasingly strategic factors,” stated Alexio Picco, Managing Director of CIRCLE Group.

“The digital transformation of logistics depends on the ability to make supply chains more reliable, verifiable and secure. Through this project, we are placing innovation at the service of risk governance by supporting the development of a platform that integrates compliance, traceability and sustainability within a single digital environment. It is a tangible example of how START 4.0 promotes technology transfer towards high-impact solutions for the manufacturing system, in cooperation with the partners within its ecosystem,” stated Georgia Cesarone, CTO of START 4.0.

“The Italian logistics sector continues to be affected by highly fragmented supply chains and a widespread lack of transparency in contractual relationships between contracting companies and operators. TIAKI Logistics was created to bridge this gap by making verifiable and traceable what still too often remains hidden. The contract with START 4.0, developed together with CIRCLE Group, represents a tangible step in this direction,” stated Martina Castoldi, CEO of TIAKI Logistics.
