Port of Oakland co-sponsors “Ride & Drive” event showcasing zero-emissions vehicles this Friday

Opportunity for truckers to test drive battery and fuel cell electric trucks

The Port of Oakland is partnering with the Harbor Trucking Association, California Air Resources Board, CALSTART, CA HVIP (California Hybrid and Zero-emission Truck and bus Voucher Incentive Project) in a "Ride & Drive" event to showcase the latest zero-emissions (ZE) vehicle technology. Truckers and Port operators are invited to ride and drive ZE trucks. Several companies will present their latest ZE equipment and answer questions. As part of the transition to ZE vehicles, experts will be on hand with information about vehicleleasing, insurance, financing opportunities, hydrogen fuel, electric charging infrastructure, and more. The Port of Oakland is a leader among U.S. ports for implementing ZE projects and has been an early adopter of innovative clean energy programs.

Where: Middle Harbor Shoreline Park, 2777 Middle Harbor Road, Oakland, CA, 94607
Who: Harbor Trucking Association, Port of Oakland officials, partners, sponsor organizations, truckers, clean energy vehicle experts, truck company representatives
Why: To connect truckers and other maritime industries to new and emerging ZE vehicles, as well governmental resources for financing and funding incentives
