Later this month, the Port of Long Beach will host the first quarterly meeting to update the public regarding progress on the Cooperative Agreement with the South Coast Air Quality Management District to develop zero-emissions infrastructure at the nation’s largest ports complex.
During the virtual event, scheduled for 5:30-6:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 25, Port staff will provide an overview of the Cooperative Agreement and describe the progress to date on developing zero-emission infrastructure plans for trucks and cargo-handling equipment. Join the meeting at this link or call in at (669) 444-9171.

The Cooperative Agreement, finalized in December 2025, is an enforceable contract that focuses on planning and implementation of zero-emissions port infrastructure. The final agreement prioritizes the development of zero-emissions infrastructure at the ports of Long Beach and Los Angeles – a critical step towards eliminating emissions from cargo handling equipment, harbor craft, trucks, trains and oceangoing vessels and achieving zero-emissions from port operations.
