Pole Star Global first to support BlueTraker® SSAS Arctic

Nov 19, 2025

Pole Star Global proudly announces integration with the BlueTraker® SSAS and BlueTracker® SSAS Arctic, to deliver seamless support for a standalone SSAS terminal capable of operating in extreme Polar environments down to –50°C.

Why it matters

Operating in Polar waters demands the highest levels of resilience and security. By supporting BlueTraker® SSAS and BlueTraker® SSAS Arctic, Pole Star ensures that customers’ fleets can:

  • Stay protected in the harshest conditions with a failsafe distress alert system built to withstand Arctic chill factors.
  • Meet global compliance requirements with SOLAS-approved SSAS functionality, now proven reliable even in Sea Area A4.
  • Gain confidence and oversight as every alert receives a return-link confirmation, giving operators and crews peace of mind that no message is ever lost.
  • Simplify operations with one integrated solution for both regulatory compliance and day-to-day vessel tracking.

Why Pole Star

This milestone reinforces Pole Star’s commitment to leading the industry in maritime security, compliance, and intelligence. Customers can now reliably operate anywhere in the world, from equatorial routes to the most extreme Polar regions, with the assurance that their fleets are protected by the strongest technology, backed by Pole Star’s trusted platform and monitoring services.

“Our mission has always been to help the maritime industry operate safely, securely, and in full compliance, wherever their voyages take them,” said Matt Morgan, Chief Product Officer, Pole Star Global. “By integrating with BlueTraker® SSAS and BlueTracker® SSAS Arctic, we’re giving our customers unmatched security coverage and peace of mind, even in the most challenging Polar environments.”
