OOCL received three awards from the Hong Kong Marine Department and the HKSOA

Orient Overseas Container Line Ltd. (OOCL) has announced that the Company received the following three awards at the “2025 Joint Luncheon cum Award Presentation Ceremony" jointly organized by the Hong Kong Marine Department and the Hong Kong Shipowners Association (HKSOA) on August 29, 2025:

  • Hong Kong Shipping Registry (HKSR) 35th Anniversary Longstanding Partnership Award
  • Award for outstanding performance in Port State Control (PSC) for the year of 2024
  • Award for Company Recruiting the Most Hong Kong Sea-going Cadets in 2024

The event was organized to express appreciation for the support of shipowners and shipping companies and to promote the services of the HKSR and HKSOA. It was one of the major annual events in the maritime industry in Hong Kong. Approximately 200 representatives from the maritime sector and distinguished guests attended the event this year.

The year 2025 marks the 35th anniversary of the establishment of HKSR. A special award, the “HKSR 35th Anniversary Longstanding Partnership Award," was presented to commend companies that have consistently supported the Hong Kong Flag since its inception. OOCL is deeply honored to receive this recognition.

In addition, OOCL received two more awards on this occasion. One was the “Award for outstanding performance in Port State Control (PSC) for the year of 2024". This achievement affirms the company's expertise and excellent performance in ship management, highlighting OOCL's dedication to maintaining high-quality operations as a carrier. The other award was “Award for Company Recruiting the Most Hong Kong Sea-going Cadets in 2024," in acknowledgement of the Company's ongoing efforts to nurture young maritime talent in Hong Kong. OOCL is deeply honored to have repeatedly received these two awards, which recognize the Company's efforts in upholding the reputation of the Hong Kong Flag and supporting the development of maritime talent in Hong Kong.
