NORDEN strengthens fleet with the addition of four Handysize vessels

May 13, 2026

NORDEN has announced that they have expanded their fleet with the purchase of four dry cargo Handysize vessels.

The four acquired vessels were built in 2024 and are scheduled for delivery during Q2 2026. The open-hatch and box hold capabilities make them particularly suited for specialized cargoes, supporting NORDEN’s ability to serve customers with more flexible and tailored solutions.

The addition builds on NORDEN’s operated fleet of around 450 vessels and supports the company’s strategy of selectively strengthening its fleet in segments with strong customer demand and attractive long-term fundamentals.

The Handysize segment benefits from an ageing global fleet and a limited orderbook, reinforcing demand for modern, fuel-efficient vessels.
