As previously communicated, the navigability conditions on the Amazon River have been presenting a substantial reduction in the water level along its bed.
This draft restriction directly affects the cargo capacity with which ships can transit the river, limiting shipments and discharges at the port of Manaus.
Amazon River - Water level in meters

CMA CGM would like to warn you that these limited conditions have reached an alarming level, impeding line container vessels to access the port. The weather conditions that generated these restrictions are unstable, which does not allow us to accurately provide a forecast of improvement.
As a result, CMA CGM has no other option than to divert its vessels (MANAUS SHUTTLE Service) to other ports and apply the below contingency plan:
m/v "BOMAR PRAIA" (voy. 0LD2IN1MA) will head straight to Pecém and discharge all Manaus & Vila do Conde cargo onboard: ETA Pecem on October 15th, 2023
m/v "MARFRET GUYANE" (voy. 0LDSFN1MA) will head straight to Fortaleza and discharge all Manaus & Vila do Conde cargo onboard: ETA Fortaleza on October 18th, 2023
Cargoes onboard these vessels will be shipped to Manaus as soon as the water level allows.
