Mar 24, 2021

NATSO, representing the nation’s truckstops and travel plazas, today announced that its President and CEO Lisa Mullings has been appointed to the American Highway Users Alliance (Highway Users) Board of Directors.

Mullings brings extensive transportation and government affairs expertise to the Highway Users Board of Directors, having served in a number of transportation and leadership positions during her career. Mullings has served as the President and CEO of NATSO since 2005.

"We are extremely pleased to welcome Lisa to our Board at this exciting time,” said Laura Perrotta, President and CEO of the American Highway Users Alliance. “Her extensive expertise in the transportation sector, combined with direct executive level experience, will be a major benefit as we advance the goals of Highway Users in the upcoming reauthorization of surface transportation law. We continue to add significant transportation industry experience and depth to our Board and are thrilled to have Lisa’s perspective on the vitally important policy issues at hand.”

NATSO Vice President of Public Affairs Tiffany Wlazlowski Neuman also will serve on the American Highway Users Alliance Policy and Government Affairs Committee.

Prior to her current appointment to NATSO’s Executive Committee, Mullings served as NATSO’s Vice President of Public Affairs and Counsel. In that capacity, she lobbied on transportation and tax issues and managed NATSO’s strategic communication plan. Prior to joining NATSO in January 1995 as the Associate Director of Government Affairs, Mullings was the communications and government affairs manager for the National Association of Chemical Recyclers. Mullings also served for five years as a staff member on the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee.

The American Highway Users Alliance is a broad coalition of industry groups that serve as the united voice of the transportation community to promote safe, uncongested highways and enhanced freedom of mobility. Since 1932, the organization has represented the interests of millions of highway users and businesses who move America’s goods and services.
