C.L. Services opens branch in Kansas City

Feb 11, 2022

C.L. Services, a Georgia-based, third-party logistics company specializing in customized transportation solutions, is expanding its national footprint to Kansas City with the opening of its newest branch on Tuesday, February 1, 2022.

Adding to its existing locations in Atlanta, Athens, Marietta and Savannah, Georgia, as well as Jackson, Mississippi, and Denver, Colorado, C.L. Services’ Kansas City branch will bring the company’s total footprint to seven locations nationwide. The new branch will be led by Travis Hesseltine, the location’s branch manager, who brings more than 10 years of experience in the transportation industry to C.L. Services’ Kansas City branch.

“We’re thrilled to open our third branch outside of Georgia, and seventh branch as an organization, and can’t think of a better place than Kansas City,” said Hesseltine. “I’m eager to lead the charge as we continue to grow and find innovative ways to give our shippers and carriers a world-class logistics experience, no matter where they are. By combining the personal attention of a small brokerage with the versatility and capacity of a large-scale freight management organization, C.L. Services continues to stand above the rest and I’m honored to be part of that.”

Providing coordinated transportation for an array of consumer and commercial products and services across North America, the Kansas City branch will allow C.L. Services to provide a wider array of service offerings to the Midwest United States as well as better efficiency in managing clients’ supply chains and access to a diverse talent pool.

“As a community-focused logistics organization, we’re thrilled to open our doors to the Kansas City area and begin tailoring our services to meet the needs of the surrounding region,” said Jay Matthews, President of C.L. Services. “We believe our core values and relationship-based business philosophy support the thriving commercial and small business enterprises in Kansas City and across the country.”

Using the strengths of its team, proven processes and state-of-the-art technology, C.L. Services aims to help its customers work smarter, not harder. Founded in 1997, the organization offers third-party logistics and transportation solutions with a Prosponsive® approach—a term trademarked by the organization’s founders to better describe the C.L. Services philosophy, promising to proactively respond to and communicate quickly and honestly with all clients and vendors.
