MSC VILDA incident on Chinook service

MSC informs that MSC VILDA, deployed on its Chinook service voyage UK118A, has been alongside the port of Yantian since 9 May 2021 due to positive COVID-19 cases identified onboard.  

The Chinese authorities have been notified and the affected seafarers have been brought onshore for medical care. As per standard procedures, all crew onboard MSC VILDA were tested and monitored for symptoms. No additional cases have been identified.   

Containers loaded in Yantian have been transferred to another vessel ANTON SHULTE and will be discharged in Shanghai to connect the MSC VILDA which will continue its usual port rotation.
